Meet the Team

Ryan Hartnett - Registered Manager

Ryan is an accomplished Registered Manager with a successful track record of managing specialist residential services for adults with a primary diagnosis of learning disability, accompanied with challenging behaviour including, autism, mental illness, co-morbid substance misuse or a forensic background.

Ryan has been a manager with Cygnet Health Care since 2013, within this time he has managed a number of services across West Yorkshire and Greater Manchester. Previous to this he managed services supporting adults with complex needs for another organisation. Ryan has also been a Crisis Prevention Institute instructor for over 8 years.

Andrew Challinor – Unit Manager

Andrew has recently joined the Cygnet team. Andrew has 10 years’ experience working in mental health, learning disability and challenging behaviour services.

Andrew has spent the last 5 years of his career in a management role, he has a passion for coaching and mentoring staff to further their professional development.

Adam McCarthy – Deputy Manager

Adam is a recently promoted Deputy Manager within Cygnet Health Care. He has a number of years’ experience leading team that support individuals with mental health, learning disabilities and challenging behaviour.

Adam has worked across a number of services throughout the company and is a graduate of the Gold Development Award.

Lissa Garvey - Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist

Since qualifying as a Speech and Language Therapist Lissa has worked in a number or roles in the private and public sector, supporting children, young people and adults with a range of communication disorders, before specialising in working with people with Autism and Learning Disabilities.

Lissa joined the team at Lowry House in July 2017 and is very excited to be working within the Woodrow House team from the very start of this brand new service, delivering high quality Speech and Language Therapy through a person-centred care pathway. She will apply detailed knowledge of the Transforming Care Agenda, 5 Good Communication Standards and Accessible Information Standard to ensure that good communication is at the heart of everything we do, promoting increased participation, independence, good health and quality of life for every individual that we care for.

Charisse Holder - Occupational Therapist

Charisse Holder is an Occupational Therapist who started at Cygnet's Lowry House in April 2018, and has joined the team at Woodrow House in February 2019. Charisse's previous experience includes supporting people with learning disabilities into vocational and job roles.

Her aim is to maximise people's independence and quality of life through activity and occupation. She is currently working towards specialising in sensory strategies to support residents with their sensory needs.
